"Call It In" is the band's first new music since the 2022 studio album EBM and was created in studio sessions between Tom Smith's solo debut "There Is Nothing In The Dark That Isn't There In The Light" and ongoing live dates. Further development has always been at the heart of Editors' work - across seven studio albums. "Call It In" gives a first glimpse of the next chapter of one of the UK's most important bands.

Frontman Tom Smith on the new single: "We spent much of the summer of 2025 in rural Gloucestershire working on songs together - all together in one room, in a more traditional band constellation. 'Call It In' is one of the latest songs we've been working on. It's a song about asking for help - finding comfort and security from someone close in the face of existential angst. An escape from the deafening noise of modern life."
The track is released via Play It Again Sam and is accompanied by a music video directed by guitarist Justin Lockey.
