"The Last Crown": A family performance for people aged 5 and over with music by Maurice Ravel, Arjan Linker and others.

The production company Oorkaan - an onomatopoeic pun on the two Dutch words for ear and hurricane - is the only artistic organization in the Netherlands dedicated exclusively to concert formats for young audiences. 2026 is a "crown year" for Oorkaan: Oorkaan is celebrating its 25th anniversary and the Oorkaan Ensemble its fifth birthday. Consequently, the crown also plays the leading role in the new program: in the past, there were many kings and queens, and they all wore a crown. Now there is only one crown left - and the members of the trio have to share it with each other. That's not so easy. Does the crown give you special powers? What happens if the crown doesn't fit? How do you behave as king or queen? Using the crown as a symbol of power, director Wieger Meulenbroek questions the status associated with it. Through funny situations and beautiful music, the Oorkaan Trio shows what it means to have power and how to use it responsibly ...
