Film & Gespräch: “Weil wir Frauen sind.” Frauenrechtsarbeit in Afghanistan – (un)möglich?
In the organizer's words:
Together we will watch a 30-minute film that is part of the special exhibition "Because we are women" - Afghan activists tell of courage and resistance. It provides insights into 20 years of women's rights work in Afghanistan and documents how Afghan activists founded a new women's rights organization after fleeing to Germany.
Afterwards we would like to talk to you. Sonia Asaqzada, Afghan activist and Monika Hauser, founder of medica mondiale, will talk about women's rights work in Afghanistan and what is still possible today under the Taliban.
The event will be held in German and is free of charge. Due to limited places, please register by 18.02.25 at veranstaltung@medicamondiale.org.
