Since the 2020s, Fimiguerrero has been a fixture of the British underground rap and jerk scene, pushing aggressive UK rap with biting vocals and crisp, paranoid instrumentals. Collaborations with Lancey Foux, Len, EsDeeKid, and YT helped raise his profile and paved the way for his breakthrough from the British underground. Ultimately, it was the 2024 mixtape “New World Order” that brought Fimiguerrero international recognition with tracks like “Mandy, ” “Vogue, ” and “MVP,” cementing the artist’s signature sound. Fimiguerrero is going on tour in October and will perform live at Hole44 in Berlin, Komplex Klub in Zurich, and Luxor in Cologne.

Fimihan Akinola was born in Nigeria but grew up in London and Kent after his mother moved to the UK. Influenced by Nigerian Fuji music and singers like Whitney Houston and Celine Dion, Akinola was drawn to freestyle rap at an early age, which he discovered online. In 2019, he debuted under his stage name Fimiguerrero with the song “Rubberbands,” showcasing his sound amid modern Auto-Tune vocals and trap beats. He quickly solidified his position in the UK underground with the releases “Human Anatomy” and “Fimiguerrero,” which drew on trap and cloud rap influences, before finding his signature sound on his EP “Black Flag* ”: a powerful sound featuring raw vocals and bass-heavy rhythms reminiscent of the American rage scene. The rapper solidified and refined this take on British rap on his subsequent releases “NO WAY OUT” (2021),“kʌnt” (2022), “BLACK” (2023), and “IMMIGRANT” (2023). In 2024, Fimiguerrero collaborated with Lancey Foux and Len on the mixtape “CONGLOMERATE” (2024) and focused on his breakthrough mixtape. “New World Order” marked the rapper’s international breakthrough in August 2024 and laid the foundation for even greater success. In 2025, Fimiguerrero was featured on the hit tracks “Tartan” and “5am” from EsDeeKids’ album “Rebel” and released additional singles, including “Designer, ” “my bad bro , ” and “Black Jeep.” The rapper continues to push the boundaries of his chaotic “jerk” sound and, in late 2025, released the single “Yesterday, ” which took him into atmospheric and dark soundscapes.
