The Forró de Colônia e. V. association cordially invites you to the Forró party of the year!
Forró is a Brazilian partner dance that originated as a folk dance in northeastern Brazil. Today, it’s a popular dance enjoyed throughout Brazil, in many European cities, and even in the U.S. and Japan. Fun is the main focus of forró, and it’s easy to learn in our introductory class. Whether it’s the slow xote or the fast xaxado—forró is comfortable and lively, and you don’t need a regular dance partner. Enjoy the vibe and the music!

Theband Coisa de Zé will provide the perfect sound, performing live for us as part of their 2026 European tour. Since 2009, this modern forró band from São Paulo has been thrilling audiences with an energetic mix of traditional and contemporary, innovative Brazilian songs. Coisa de Zé has already toured throughout Brazil and Europe and won the prestigious FENFIT competition (Itaúnas) in 2014. With original songs like “Mulher como ela” and fresh takes on old classics like “Vitamina e Cura,” plus a fantastic stage presence, they captivate audiences of all ages.

So get ready for rousing live music that warms the heart and invites you to dance! Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced dancer, dancing alone or with a partner: This party is for everyone who wants to experience Brazilian joie de vivre!
