Concert Evening with a Greek-Persian Focus

The master instructors from the workshops will showcase their artistry in concert in various ensembles. We are also delighted to welcome top-tier guest musicians: Matthaios Tsahouridisis considered the best Pontic lyre player currently active in Greece and Turkey—theJavid Ensemblefrom Norway will perform compositions by Javid Afsari Rad, which are inspired by Persian, Indian, and Arabic musical traditions, as well as Western classical music. Samin Ghorbanienchants with her singing—deeply rooted in the classical Azari vocal art of Persia—while Behnam and Reza Samani provide dynamism and depth with their lively rhythms on the tombak, zarbang-udu, and daf.
