FORTUNA IM EXIL: K im K - Workshops & Artist talks

In mini-workshops, the artists from the previous evening demonstrate how they create their audiovisual performances. Afterward, participants will have the opportunity to try out these techniques themselves for each thematic area. Gregor Pfeffer & Thadeusz Tischbein use documentary clips collected during their travels as a starting point. They’ll demonstrate how their performances emerge from these clips through a playful and experimental process. For the visuals, they primarily use Resolume; for the multichannel audio pieces, they use Ableton Live and Max. You can learn how live multichannel compositions are created, how ideas evolve through the collaborative interplay of sound and image, and how these are then transformed into a set that can be performed live. Other workshop sessions will focus on field recording, live animation, and other exciting topics (still in the works). We’ll present these not as separate workshops, but together as mini-workshops.
