Franziska Gehm und Horst Klein: Planet Pop

Welcome to the world of music! Franziska Gehm and Horst Klein take us on a journey to the dazzling “Planet Pop.” Whether it’s a boat ride through mainstream pop, island hopping through hip-hop, or visiting individual islands where rock ’n’ roll, Schlager, punk, techno, or another music genre reigns—there’s plenty to discover. Each island offers exciting and funny facts; the disco ball and turntable spin in a friendly competition, creating a great atmosphere and, of course: music, music, music!

Franziska Gehm, born in 1974, was born in Sondershausen. After studying in Germany, England, and Ireland, she worked at a Viennese radio station, at a high school in Denmark, and at a children’s book publisher. Today she works as an author and translator and lives with her family in Munich.

Horst Klein, born in 1965, spent his formative years in East Frisia before moving to Krefeld in 1989 to study visual communication. He first had to look up Krefeld in an atlas. But he ended up staying there and now works as an illustrator and graphic designer. Horst Klein has a wife and two children.
