"Voices of Heroines" combines a cappella music and storytelling to create impressive portraits of extraordinary women.

The women's vocal ensemble LUMINOSA and the Berlin actress GESINE CUKROWSKI bring moving episodes from the lives of well-known and hidden heroines to life in words and music.

Tales, including those of Mileva Marić, the brilliant mathematician and wife of a famous genius, and Virginia Woolf, a writer known for her modern views in a time characterized by traditional role models, unfold in powerful compositions created exclusively by women.

A special highlight of the evening are the world premieres of two musical portraits by Evelyn Klaunzer and Abigél Varga, which were composed especially for this program.
