"Fritz Lang - Doppel": METROPOLIS (1927)

In the organizer's words:

High above the city of Metropolis, Joh Fredersen rules while the workers toil below ground. Fredersen's son Freder falls in love with the worker leader Maria. At the same time, Rotwang, the inventor, creates a steel robot, which he gives the appearance of Maria on Fredersen's instructions. The fake Maria stirs up the workers, who abandon their machines and cause the city to be flooded. Can Freder and Maria's efforts save the city?
