Few music and art collectives have been documented on film as extensively as the Slovenian group Laibach, the associated movement New Slovenian Art (NSK) and the artists' collective IRWIN. And the source seems inexhaustible. In May 2025, we are delighted to present three films by Slovenian filmmaker Igor Zupe that explore the history, methodology and cultural influence of NSK, IRWIN and Laibach.
This will be followed by a film discussion with the director Igor Zuppe, moderated by Alexander Pehlemann (Zonic).
The event is kindly supported by the Slovenian Cultural Center Berlin - SKICA Berlin.

The film tells the story of an infamous artistic intervention by the NSK graphics department Novi Kolektivizm: in 1987, the group submitted a poster for the Yugoslavian state competition for Youth Day. The international premiere of the film coincides with the 38th anniversary of the events described.
