In the organizer's words:

GEFÄHRTEN Annual Trauma Training.
Understanding Trauma –
Building Relationships –
Supporting People Safely.

Between Contact & Body:
How We Can Safely Support Traumatized People.

How can we address trauma without overwhelming, “fixing,” or trivializing it?

Many of us have learned to support others with empathy, creativity, and therapeutic openness. Yet in our work with traumatized individuals, it often becomes clear that what is helpful in other contexts may fall flat here—or even become too much.

This annual training is designed for people who work in a humanistic spirit—whether in therapy, counseling, or body-oriented practices—and who wish to further develop their trauma-informed support.

We combine the client-centered approach of Carl Rogers, bioenergetic bodywork, Gestalt therapeutic creativity, and systemic thinking with current knowledge about trauma, the nervous system, and attachment.

The focus is on understanding the nervous system, developing a sustainable therapeutic approach, and acquiring concrete tools for building safe relationships.

What to expect:

☉ Understanding how the nervous system reacts and how safety is established
☉ Relationship as a healing factor: Attitude before intervention
☉ Body-oriented psychotherapy and relational trauma: using the body as a compass
☉ Making Gestalt therapy trauma-safe—creative, present, and measured
☉ Consciously using systemic questions and understanding their effect on the other person
☉ Integration: What remains of the humanistic approach, what changes due to the trauma-focused orientation, and how do they work together?

Who is this for?

For professionals in therapy, counseling, coaching, bodywork, and process work who want to provide support in a grounded, trauma-informed, and equal manner—with depth, clarity, and integrity.
