Hannover Klassik Open Air

It offers pure enjoyment in every way: the Hannover Klassik Open Air in Maschpark. This year’s edition of the “Opera for Everyone” event, taking place on August 21 and 22, will feature Italian classics as well as a special focus on French opera composers.

Opera lovers and classical music newcomers alike gather at the Hannover Klassik Open Air to experience the unique ambiance of the park and the illuminated New City Hall, to have a picnic, and above all, to enjoy the wonderful sounds of opera —which will once again be presented this year by internationally acclaimed singers alongside the NDR Radio Philharmonic Orchestra under principal conductor Stanislav Kochnovsky.

In 2026, the program will have a French flair, featuring music by Bizet, Massenet, and Saint-Saëns. But well-known opera highlights by Verdi and Puccini will also be included. And, as always, free admission to the park will be available.
