Presentation of the CD "Bassolo" just released by GLM.
All alone, but together with his double bass - this is the new solo program of the Munich star bassist Henning Sieverts. At times extremely delicate, at others grippingly groovy - plucked, bowed, stroked and tapped - everything seems possible in this "one-bass show", with his own works and distinctive new versions of jazz classics.
Henning Sieverts is in demand throughout the world as a bassist, cellist and composer. over 150 CDs. Concerts and tours have taken Sieverts to all five continents. He has received numerous awards, such as the "Echo Jazz", the New German Jazz Prize (twice!), first prize in the jazz competition of the "International Society of Bassists" and the State Prize of the Free State of Bavaria. As a composer and bassist, he works regularly with the Luxembourg new music ensemble "Lucilin" and with an ensemble of the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra.
