The musician and composer Hunermend Dilovan was born in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, in 1953. He has released 11 albums over the course of his 55-year career. His artistic journey has included participation in numerous concerts, festivals, television and radio broadcasts and performances in various countries.
In addition, he has worked closely with the Philharmonic Orchestra "Parvana" in Armenia for many years. In his impressive career, Hunermend Dilovan has published and composed up to 115 songs under his own name. The result is a remarkable collection of pieces that includes his own compositions as well as old, traditional Kurdish and Armenian songs.
He is not only a talented singer, but also masters various instruments such as the oud, djumbush and guitar. He plays these partly traditional instruments of the Orient with skill and virtuosity and sings at the same time. His songs reflect the soul of Kurdistan. They tell of love, longing and pain, but also of friendship, passion and patriotism.
A book about him and his life's work was published this year.
It includes his biography and his life's work: all his songs with sheet music, which are listed in detail in the book.
