In the early 1970s, Ihre Kinder created a sound that was unparalleled in the German music scene—somewhere between Schlager and English-language rock—with progressive, folk-influenced songs about social injustice, environmental destruction, and cultural change. This documentary traces the band’s legacy, featuring archival footage and insights from figures in music and culture, and highlights their pioneering role in the history of German-language rock.
