Illustration & Botanik – Unperfekt Perfekt

Adults - All Levels - 2.5 hours

We've all looked at a flower before. But have we really seen it?

This course is not about depicting plants as realistically as possible - but about developing our own view of them. We work with pencil, charcoal, pastels, acrylic paints, fine liners and colored pencils - individually, mixed or in surprising combinations. And we do exercises that loosen the mind and free the hand. Exercises that show that sometimes the most interesting things happen when you stop controlling.

You learn how much you can leave out. How far you can move away from the real form - or how you can get closer to it. That mood counts more than proportion when illustrating. And that the imperfect is often the most beautiful moment on the page.

At the end, you will take home a small DIN A5 booklet - with your first own pages in it and hopefully the desire to continue.
