Four dancers move between the stage and the audience seated all around it. They explore the space, share thoughts, and pick up on impulses. A play on closeness and distance begins and develops into a choreography inspired by everything that defines an encounter: friction, resistance, and connection. This gives rise to a lively exchange that shifts—but does not dissolve—the boundary between the audience and the dancers. In the end, a moment emerges that invites the audience to join in the dance.
At a time when social closeness often causes unease, INTO IT invites us to approach it in a new way.
A co-production with PACT Zollverein, Theater Ravensburg, Maschinenhaus Essen, and Ehrenfeldstudios Cologne; in cooperation with Yeah Yeah e.V.

SPIELARTEN
Once again this year, the Theater in der Meerwiese is participating as a venue in the NRW-wide SPIELARTEN festival for young audiences with a selection of productions. The festival guarantees exciting and inspiring theater experiences for everyone ages two and up. It showcases the diversity and high artistic quality of the contemporary independent theater scene in North Rhine-Westphalia. A total of six productions for daycare centers, schools, and families will be presented at the Meerwiese. Theater reveals worlds, tells stories, conveys emotions, and poses questions. The artists always keep young audiences at the center of their work. But adults shouldn’t be surprised if they find themselves captivated as well. Let yourself be surprised!
