Jam Session

In the organizer's words:

Three people, an electric organ, electric guitar and drums. That's all the furniture the three musicians in the band Toriyo need to captivate their audience. In 2019, drummer Simon Kerler and guitarist Niklas Rehle joined forces with pianist Masako Sakai and her newly acquired Hammond organ. It soon becomes clear that this band needs an audience, because the groove-heavy compositions and ecstatic solos would be too good to fade away in a rehearsal room. Toriyo has been playing in southern Germany ever since, creating a bridge between the US Hammond organ tradition and fusion.
