Jam Session

Today, guitarist Simon Harscheidt is hosting the Sunday jam session. Best known as the bandleader of the Nähmaschinen Quartett—and a fixture on the Munich music scene for years—he can also be heard time and again in other settings.

A student of Peter O’Mara, Simon Harscheidt has a penchant for catchy melodies and harmonic progressions, which he skillfully combines with clever grooves. He draws on influences from jazz, fusion, and rock to create an exceptionally cohesive sound.

When Simon Harscheidt isn’t performing with the Nähmaschinen Quartett, he can be heard in ensembles of various sizes, including big bands.

Following the opening set by Simon Harscheidt’s band, the stage is open to inspired newcomers.
