Cologne trombonist Jonathan Böbel brings together a quartet of long-time musical companions under his name. They have met again and again in a wide variety of formations - here they appear as a quartet with an evolved common language.
The program ranges between straight ahead and modern jazz. Their own arrangements and selected standards are interpreted with plenty of room for interaction and individual expressiveness. The quartet knows how to combine tradition and the present - always with a focus on musical dialog and lively improvisation.
