The tour highlights Jewish women’s organizations and activists, including, for example, Klara Caro, head of the Jewish Women’s Association, who established a kind of educational for Jewish women at the Theresienstadt concentration camp. Art historian Dr. Luise Straus-Ernst embodied the model of the intellectual “New Woman” of the Weimar Republic. Dr. Else Thalheimer, director of the Cologne Society for New Music, brought avant-garde composers to Cologne before 1933.Behind every name lies a moving story shaped by great dedication, anti-Semitism, and persecution.
