„Kadınlar Matinesi – Frauenmatineé“

The “Kadınlar Matinesi” marks the premiere of a new event format at the Neue Ziegelei. The Women’s Matinee traces its roots to a tradition that originated in Turkey in the late 1970s: As an affordable cultural event, it offered women the opportunity to enjoy music, entertainment, and socializing together—often with their children.

Building on this idea, the event brings together women of different generations and cultural backgrounds. The program—featuring multilingual karaoke, DJ Funshine, and a live performance by Süreyya-Yasin—invites attendees to sing along, dance, and network.

The “Kadınlar Matinesi” stands for cultural diversity, exchange, and a vibrant sense of community. The musical and thematic offerings are deliberately designed to be multilingual and cross-cultural.
