In the organizer's words:
Kasalla – Cologne Rock with Heart and Attitude
What began as a late-night idea by singer Bastian Campmann and guitarist Flo Peil evolved into one of Cologne’s most successful bands: Kasalla blends the Cologne dialect with modern rock and pop, moving just as effortlessly between folk, funk, electronic, and chanson.
With their 2017 album “Mer sin eins,” the band reached No. 5 on the German album charts. This was followed by, among other things, an ECHO nomination, numerous sold-out concerts, and tours through Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
Kasalla has also long since made a name for itself live far beyond Cologne: On the occasion of the band’s fifth anniversary, a total of 26,000 fans celebrated with the band over two evenings at the LANXESS arena. The Cologne dialect remains the common thread running through their diverse music.
Kasalla stands for Cologne-style music that resonates far beyond Carnival and the borders of the Rhineland—energetic, versatile, and unmistakable.
