"Few people are as adept at explaining social developments and backgrounds as the sociologist and author Aladin El-Mafaalani" (RBB). El-Mafaalani has been researching the topics of education, integration and racism for many years. In his new book Kinder - Minderheit ohne Schutz (Children - Minority without Protection), which he co-authored with Sebastian Kurtenbach and Klaus Peter Strohmeier, he addresses a profound social change: children are increasingly becoming a minority in an ageing society, and parents of minors are also an ever smaller group among the electorate. This demographic shift, together with the major challenges of our time - migration, poverty and digitalization - has far-reaching consequences for how children grow up. Moderator: Sarah Zerback
