Governments and societies around the world are moving to the right, authoritarian forces are gaining influence and minorities are coming under increasing pressure. The accusation of fascism is omnipresent and is becoming ever louder - but fascists are always the others. Even the most authoritarian governments claim to be fighting fascism. How can we even find a definition in our confusing present?
In his book Gewalt am Denken,Mark Terkessidis examines the social and political preconditions. The philosopher Eva von Redecker presents an analysis of the new form of contemporary fascism in Dieser Drang nach Härte, which negates simplistic historical analogies.
