Kinderkathedrale Leipzig
In the organizer's words:
The Leipzig Children’s Cathedral will take place from September 17 to 20, 2026, at the Lutherkirche in Johannapark. For four days, the church will become a special place for children and families: Under the motto “discover—create—be together,” children can experience their rights, contribute their own ideas, and help shape the church in their own way.
There’s plenty to discover at various activity stations: Children can make music, get creative, play, experiment, and experience a sense of community. Daycare and school groups are also invited. The Children’s Cathedral is open to families on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
The opening will take place on Thursday, September 17, at 4:30 p.m. under the theme “Children Have Rights.” The program is complemented by stories under the starry sky, a family café, a fizzy powder evening, and a family brunch.
The Children’s Cathedral is a place where all children are welcome with their questions, ideas, and perspectives: “Everyone is welcome just as they are.”
