Kiss Facility is the band project of the Emirati-Egyptian singer Mayah Alkhateri and the Irish-Chilean musician Salvador Navarrete, who deconstructs club music under his stage name Sega Bodega and works with artists such as Björk and Rosalía. With Alkhateri's velvety vocals, floating guitar sounds and trippy beats, Kiss Facility draws on familiar shoegaze sound patterns - but breaks them up with Arabic vocals and ultra-modern club pop. This leads to "a beautiful, unexpected result", writes Pitchfork about the debut album "KHAZNA", released in 2026. With this album, Kiss Facility pursue their goal of being "a source of love and hope ... a community in which you feel safe - and which is reflected in hopeful sounds", says Mayah Alkhateri, who sees her music above all as a soundtrack for the freedom of oppressed women. For these - and all Allys - Kiss Facility are now making their Hamburg debut at the summer festival: "Genre saboteurs who blur the boundaries until all that remains is a haunting, strangely luminous feeling - the result is magnificent" (Dazed).
