What would the world be without laughter? Boring! From slapstick to comedy, clowning and cabaret to satire, there are many different genres of comedy. The formula comedy = tragedy + time applies almost universally. Or in Charlie Chaplin's words: "Life is a tragedy when seen in close-up, but a comedy in long-shot". We want to find out together: What makes a scene funny? Where is the joke? Where is the tragedy? What is my particular form of comedy? But above all, we want to have a lot of fun playing. So activate your humor centers and let's have a good time!
In our 2-day (5 hours each incl. break) workshop Comedy and Improvisation, Nikos and Robin will work with stand-ups, comic character design, comic bodywork and, above all, lots of improvisational play. The program will also include short scenes from well-known films and plays. We want to work intensively with you and tease out the comedy strengths of each individual. Of course, we will approach this great genre again with various acting exercises and at the end of the workshop we may want to do a small show (either just for us or with a small, selected audience-> we can still decide that together! But above all it's about having a good time and making each other laugh!
