Since 2010, the operator of a recreational craft must hold a radio operator’s certificate if the boat is equipped with a marine radio system. This applies equally to marine radio systems on both owner-owned and charter yachts.
COURSE CONTENT
- Fundamentals of International Maritime Radio
- Digital Selective Calling (DSC) under the GMDSS procedure
- Inland waterway radio communications in accordance with the RAINWAT Agreement
- Preparation for the theoretical portion of the exam
