Keynote speech: Maria Kalesnikava
How political should cultural events be? What responsibility do cultural practitioners have to courageously contribute to social discourse while respecting the freedom of art? The Beethovenfest poses these questions with a conference at the end of the four-year funding project "tuned". The Belarusian resistance icon and musician Maria Kalesnikava will give a keynote speech. The subsequent concert "Nothing is sacred" will bring the day to a close.
Funded by the German Federal Cultural Foundation as part of "tuned - Network for Contemporary Classical Music"
