From the depths of the city. Ähliz Angst wrote the lyrics and recorded the music in the studio with Klapperklaus; the result is called “Hollywood Hartz IV.” These are songs in which Ähliz musically moves away from the streets, even though the lyrics continue to draw their relevance from there. Somewhere in the musical background, Lan Curtis and Tom Waits are arguing over who has the stronger influence... It’s definitely dark.

A Summer in the Basement
It’s punk, of course—a bit post-punk—with plenty of screamed-out rage and world-weariness. But a harmonious—or sometimes even Homo sapiens-curious—view of the world also shines through. Accompanied by synth sounds. Lyrics are TOP. And a bit of an apocalyptic vibe, too.
