The old-school underground party for fans of gothic, new wave, dark wave, and punk rock (covering almost all areas of "dark," guitar-driven music). Of course, newer songs from these genres are also played.
The Wave Party was founded in 1998 in Weimar, Thuringia, at S.C. Jakob, and until 2023 it took place mainly in Jena (Cafe Wagner). Starting in 2004, it was also held in Kassel (Barracuda Bar, Spot Underground, Panoptikum, Goldgrube, etc.).
Now it has found a new home at the Subterrain in the Sandershaus.
DJs Alex and Timur have gained experience performing at various festivals (including WGT) and in cities such as Berlin, Erfurt, Leipzig, Gera, Halle, Göttingen, Hanover, and Wolfhagen; they look forward to seeing you there.
