schwarts Festival 2026
In the organizer's words:
It’s that time of year again: The schwarts Festival is set to take place for the third time at the Sandershaus in Kassel on August 28 and 29, 2026. The basement and outdoor areas will once again be transformed into a venue for special concert experiences, creative encounters, and two unforgettable summer nights.
As in every year, the festival is dedicated to a partner country. In 2026, the spotlight will be on France, a country whose cultural diversity extends far beyond the familiar clichés. This year’s festival aims to highlight these facets and invites visitors to discover French influences in music, literature, and cuisine.
Traditions will also play a key role. The waffle stand will once again be part of the festival and will expand the culinary offerings with a new, French-inspired waffle creation.
Once again, there will be an outdoor stage, enriching the festival with another atmospheric venue. Here, music and the summery festival atmosphere come together, creating space for special moments under the open sky.
Another highlight awaits in the specially designed outdoor area: Inspired by the French fairy tale “The Yellow Dwarf,” an artistic decoration will transport visitors into a fantastical world. Accompanying readings invite guests to rediscover the story and experience the fairy-tale atmosphere with all their senses.
Of course, music will once again take center stage at the festival in 2026. There will be a varied program on both days.
FRIDAY
Curtain ( Paris)
Order89 ( Bordeaux)

SATURDAY

Even after the live music has faded away, the festival is far from over: On both evenings, the after-show parties invite you to keep the celebration going, dance, and wind down after the day’s experiences.
The schwarts Festival embodies the joy of discovering new music, cultural exchange, and the special atmosphere that arises when people come together to experience art and music. With France as the partner country, the 2026 edition promises two extraordinary festival days filled with sound, creativity, and new encounters.
We look forward to celebrating at the Sandershaus with old friends and new faces—à bientôt!
