Your body is with you every day. But how often do you really notice it consciously? Our thoughts often take center stage, while our body fades into the background in everyday life.
In this workshop, we invite you to get in touch with your body, not just to think about it, but to actually feel and experience your body.
Through movement, voice and breathing, you will explore what it feels like not just to have a body, but to be a body. You will be guided through simple methods from embodiment, yoga and dance.
What to expect & schedule
You will deepen your awareness through conscious breathing, follow movement impulses without a fixed choreography and give feelings space to express themselves through movement or voice. In contrast to traditional meditation, you do not remain still, but actively follow the impulses of your body.
There is no right or wrong here. We give you impulses and guide you, but you can follow your own rhythm or take breaks at any time.
We offer two workshop formats:
Format 1: BEING YOUR BODY
The focus here is entirely on you and your own body. You will learn basic techniques to deepen your body experience and discover intuitive movement.
Format 2: BEING A BODY TOGETHER
The focus here is on connection, to yourself and to others. We explore community through eye contact, touch and moving together.
A certain amount of physical contact should be okay for you. At the same time, you always decide for yourself how much closeness feels right for you. Your well-being comes first.
Both workshops can be attended independently of each other.
All workshops are aimed at young people up to the age of 27.
Participation is free of charge.
A safe space
This workshop is a mindful, non-judgmental space. Discrimination, especially racism, homophobia, sexism or other forms of exclusion, have no place here.
You should bring this with you:
Who leads the workshops?
Meret...
You don't have to be "good at dancing" or flexible - your body already has everything you need for the workshop. No previous experience is necessary.
We look forward to getting to know you and your body!
