On Tuesday, January 6, 2026, the Hapag-Lloyd Foundation is offering all visitors Free admission to the exhibition as part of its support for Kinder, Kinder!
The exhibition shows that children's images are always a mirror of their time. They reveal social values, role models and power structures. Origin, status and often also gender shape the visual language and have influenced each other over the centuries. How children are depicted in contemporary art is therefore always an echo of past pictorial traditions.
