Kultur im Engelshof „Max Köhler Trio“

The Max Köhler Trio plays lively straight-ahead jazz with clear roots in the tradition. The young Cologne-based pianist draws inspiration from the classic trio sound, with influences from the Ahmad Jamal, Wynton Kelly, and Ray Brown trios. Together with Kester Jahn on bass and Jakob Hein on drums, the program consists of original compositions as well as standards from the Great American Songbook.

Cultural events are an integral part of the program at the Engelshof Community Center. As funding becomes increasingly scarce, civic engagement is also growing in importance in this area. That is why the Engelshof Community Center is very pleased to have the support of the “Rembold Foundation” for its new cabaret series, “Culture at the Engelshof.”
The Rembold Foundation’s goal is “...to preserve and breathe life into social cohesion.” More and more citizens are taking on voluntary responsibility for society and the community. The foundation’s purpose is to encourage and promote this development. It supports projects that initiate and promote actions for the common good, with “helping people help themselves” as the primary goal. The foundation sees itself as a catalyst.
