Kultursommer für Kids 2026 - Sarah und das Nix

When was the last time you did absolutely nothing? For little Sarah, the greatest adventure of her life begins at just such a moment: she discovers the Nix—a dachshund-like creature that appears in moments of utter boredom. She gets caught up in a jewel heist and is wrongly suspected. With the help of the quirky Nix, she has to find a way out of this mess.

How lucky that Sarah—now all grown up—can not only recount this incredible story in a way worthy of a movie: In the meantime, Sarah Mettenleiter—a versatile musician—has gathered ideas, including at Munich’s Residenztheater and with the Jazzrausch Big Band, to set this hilarious story to the finest music. The rhythms and beautiful melodies are masterfully performed by five renowned musicians from the Munich scene.
This one-hour Munich-set story, featuring live music and illustrations, is a delight for children ages 6 and up and all adults—even if they’ve never encountered the Nix before.

“Sarah and the Nix” is a Munich-based musical story. Lovingly conceived, composed, and illustrated in Schwabing. The project was awarded the City of Munich’s Music Scholarship in 2023.
