The program presents short films by Cologne filmmakers - diverse, independent and closely connected to the city. Various short films will be shown: feature films, documentaries, experimental works and music videos with different styles and perspectives. All of the films have their origins in Cologne, but have their very own focus: Some works focus directly on the city, others were made here but provide insights into completely different places and themes. The program provides a lively insight into Cologne's short film scene, which is constantly producing new forms of cinematic storytelling.

A special occasion, a special short film evening. In the 50th anniversary year of the Stiftung Kultur, we are showing highlights from our curatorial work. Year after year, the Kultur Foundation's media art education team views a large number of international short films and develops its own cross-genre programs from them. We show works with a sharp eye, an unconventional style and strong images - works that stand out and have a lasting effect. Feature film, documentary, animation, experimental film and music video from the early 2000s to the present day. An evening that is as entertaining as it is multi-layered, combining different tones and making it possible to experience short film in all its diversity. An opportunity to catch up on missed highlights or rediscover well-known greats from a new perspective.
