Langer Donnerstag im Museum Ludwig: Roni Horn

PICK OF THE DAY
You cannot miss this event.
In the organizer's words:

Long Thursday - LADO for short - on April 4 is all about our new special exhibition "Roni Horn. Give Me Paradox or Give Me Death".

Look forward to [OHNE PRONOMEN] - a literary platform for queer-feminist and intersectional content that critically examines the reception of the literary canon and normative structures. On this evening, the initiators Leonie Hoh, Suse Itzel and Jennifer de Negri will present their work and read their own texts, which interweave material from real processes with their own memories to create literary material and raise questions such as: Can we write our way out of what is? How do we write against that which excludes us? In addition to the reading, [OHNE PRONOMEN] and Dr. Dirk Schulz (GeStiK, University of Cologne) will discuss works by the American poet Emily Dickinson, who also influenced Roni Horn's works.

18h: 3 Autofabulations - A reading by [OHNE PRONOMEN]

Can we write ourselves out of what is? How does the text intervene when a literary self rebels against exclusion, violence and entrenched structures? Material from real processes is interwoven with personal memories to create three literary autofabulations.

20h: A Wind that rose - A conversation about Emily Dickinson with Dirk Schulz and [OHNE PRONOMEN]

Emily Dickinson - an initially almost forgotten figure from the 19th century who fascinates us today and whose poetry casts a spell over us. But what is there to the image of the pale and strange recluse?

(The reading and discussion will take place on the 2nd floor between the two terrace exits).

18-22h: Art:Dialogs in the exhibition "Roni Horn. Give Me Paradox or Give Me Death"
