Concert by two Chilean musicians, Gabriel Macaya and Giordano Véjar, who have recently arrived in Colonia and bring songs and music like postcards from South America, their neighborhoods and feelings.
Images and moments that show a little of the sound of these southern countries. They play folklore, traditional folk music and also their own creations.
Gabriel Macaya is a Chilean songwriter and musician. He participated in various bands in Santiago de Chile and organized different cultural and social activities in his neighborhood. He also lived in Flensburg, where he started his solo career and was part of multicultural music groups. He has released two albums, video clips and singles combining Latin American fusion and world music with influences from rock, R&B, pop, folk and reggae. Thematically, his lyrics deal with migration, social inequality, workers' rights, decolonization and intimate life issues. He has lived in Cologne with his family since August 2024.
Giordano Véjar is a Chilean guitarist and musician who studied classical and electric guitar for many years. He studied music and composition at two universities in Valparaíso (Chile), was part of various musical groups and composed works for instruments. Giordano is on a personal journey of discovering and learning the popular South American guitar and currently lives in the city of Cologne in search of new experiences.
