Lesefestival antifaschistische Literatur: Was gehört auf eine Leseliste »antifaschistische Literatur«? Mit Wiebke von Bernstorff, Peter Graf, Andrea Schütte und Stephanie Marx
In the organizer's words:
Anna Seghers’ novel *The Seventh Cross* is undisputedly one of the major works of “anti-fascist literature”—however problematic that term may be to define. But: What else belongs on a reading list of anti-fascist literature? Which titles could or should be included to specifically draw attention to less prominent examples and authors? How broad is the spectrum of books and subgenres within anti-fascist literature, anyway? What criteria must be met for a work to be considered anti-fascist literature? To facilitate discussion using concrete examples, an annotated reading list of anti-fascist literature—with a focus on German-language literature from the 1930s and 1940s—will be compiled in advance of the event.
