Live: BRAGOLIN + CARRELLEE + DJs

We’re looking forward to performances by two international acts from the renowned Augsburg-based Young & Cold label! Bragolin will be bringing us hot post-punk from the Netherlands, and Carrellee will be bringing us American dream wave from Wisconsin! After the “Alles! Schwarz” concert, there’ll be dark disco on two dance floors!

BRAGOLIN (Netherlands) >>> Post-Punk | Dark Wave | Goth Pop
Bragolin is a Dutch post-punk/dark wave project by Edwin van der Velde, known for its catchy melodic hooks that can be heard on gothic dance floors worldwide. Bragolin draws inspiration from ’80s bass VI lines, organ sounds from the ’60s and ’70s, and ’90s shoegaze guitars, blending vintage and modern elements into a sound inspired by post-apocalyptic cinema and horror films. The project owes its name to the Italian painter Giovanni Bragolin, who is best known for his “Crying Boy” paintings. The debut album “Saw Nothing Good So I Left” (2018) featured the track “Into Those Woods,” which is now considered a modern dancefloor classic. In 2025, the song surpassed 10 million streams, establishing Bragolin as a fixture in the global dark wave and gothic scene. In 2019, van der Velde collaborated with his Dutch fellow artist Adam Tristar on the second album, “Let Out The Noise Inside.” This work leaned even more heavily toward electronic and synth-based production styles. In 2026, Bragolin released the new album “I Don’t Like What It Does To Me,” which unfolds in gradually revealed chapters. Building on the project’s signature sound, the album combines bass VI melodies, organ sounds, and an atmospherically dense production. Field recordings, synthetic ocean sounds, waterphones, and experimental sound sources create a multi-layered, immersive listening experience. The album also features the track “Feel This Flame Unfold”—a duet with dark wave artist Carrellee. In 2020, Edwin Daatselaar joined Bragolin as a synthesizer player, and the two have formed the current live duo ever since. Both Edwins are also active in the band Zwarte Poëzie. Bragolin has already played over 100 shows at festivals and clubs throughout Europe and Latin America—including performances at the Wave-Gotik-Treffen, the Amphi Festival, and the Cold Hearted Festival.

CARRELLEE (Wisconsin/USA) >>> Dark Wave | Post-Punk

Carrellee is an ethereal dark wave singer and songwriter from Madison, Wisconsin (USA). Her debut album, *Scale of Dreams*, was released in 2022 on Negative Gain Productions. The album sold out quickly (and was repressed). She supported the album with an extensive tour, playing over 200 shows between 2022 and 2024. Highlights included performances at the Coldwaves Festival in Chicago, the Verboden Festival in Vancouver, and as the opening act for Chris Corner of Sneaker Pimps’ solo project IAMX on a series of dates in the Midwest. In May 2025, Carrellee released her second album via Young & Cold Records. Mixed largely by Maurizio Baggio (Boy Harsher, Sextile) and mastered by Josh Bonati (Slowdive, Drab Majesty), the album significantly expanded her musical range and her fan base. The online music site Post-Punk describes the songs as having “an eerie allure, as her soft, whispering vocals glide over scorched synths and sharp beats.” Think Crystal Castles or The Knife after a rough night, or Ladytron with a little more bite. The album’s biggest single, “Captain,” has been streamed over a million times on Spotify since its release. Carrellee also spent much of 2024 and 2025 touring Europe and the U.S. as a backing vocalist and synth player for IAMX (the solo project of Chris Corner of Sneaker Pimps).
