After the big symphony concert in the morning, the festive anniversary day of the Hesse State Youth Symphony Orchestra comes to a close in the afternoon. The moderated chamber concert builds a bridge between the generations and reviews the 50-year history of the ensemble.
The focus is on a moderated journey through time that takes the audience through five decades of the orchestra's life. Between the pieces of music, anecdotes and retrospectives provide exciting insights into the development of the LJSO from its beginnings in 1976 to the present day.
Outstanding ensembles that are closely linked to the history of the orchestra will be performing on stage. The award-winning Amelio Trio - consisting of three LJSO alumni - returns to its roots for this anniversary. Another highlight is Felix Mendelssohn's string octet, in which current members of the LJSO perform together with alumni who are now active in the Frankfurt Opera and Museum Orchestra and the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts.
On the same day at 11 a.m., a symphony concert will take place in the hr-Sendesaal. There is a combined ticket for the symphony and chamber concert.
