Looking for Ella

Noch niemand hat sich das Event gemerkt.

In the organizer's words:

Feeling every emotion —there are probably no three words that better describeLooking For Ella’s music. The artist’s lyrics are characterized by giving space to all emotions, looking where it hurts, working through those feelings, and growing as a result. They’re as intimate and personal as diary entries. Last year, the artist released her debut album, *I’ll Be Back Home Soon, Love.*—a deeply moving work that explores all facets of intense emotions under the umbrella of “mental health.” Across nine tracks, a journey through depression, self-discovery, and friendship unfolds, accompanied by musical soundscapes that move within the indie pop genre, ranging from synth pads to polyphonic vocal arrangements.

Born out of the need to process emotions and navigate difficult times, the album reflects an inner transformation: from rock bottom to greater self-love and clarity. “It’s my way of creating something beautiful and cohesive out of difficult moments,” explains the artist, who lives in Cologne and produced most of the album in her own studio.

Musically, “I’ll be back home soon, Love.” presents itself as a journey through rich arrangements and emotional soundscapes. With analog synthesizers, warm piano pads, and a special love for choirs and vocal harmonies, the music evokes acts like Florence + The Machine, Aurora, or Bon Iver. Each song reveals a new facet and invites sensitive souls to explore their deepest emotions.

Back in March of this year, the singer enchanted the audience at the sold-out “Wohngemeinschaft.” Together with radio host and author Benni Bauerdick, she hosted a hybrid event combining a reading and a concert on the theme of “grief.”
Now, Looking For Ella is going on tour for the first time as an acoustic trio. With guitar and piano, the trio manages to create a deeply intimate, “ ” atmosphere. It’s energetic, powerful, and grand, but also vulnerable and very quiet. Despite all the somber themes found in many of their songs, Looking For Ella manages to radiate a sense of closeness, empathy, and authenticity at their concerts, fostering a feeling of connection with the audience. Their concerts are like a “Deep Talk” evening among friends: honest, intimate, and empowering.
