Frei Töne - Konzertreihe -Duo DaAl
In the organizer's words:
The duo DaAl—Bass & Voice—consists of
Daniel Bucksteeg (double bass) and Alexandra Romes (jazz vocals).
The two perform contemporary jazz and pop songs that they have rearranged. These include songs by Sting, Stevie Wonder, the Bläck Föös, and BAP, as well as Amy Winehouse and Norah Jones.
About the artists:
Daniel Bucksteeg played the saxophone for six years until he discovered his love for grunge and heavy metal, which led him to complete a six-year degree in guitar.
In 2019, he switched to electric bass and double bass. Daniel plays in several bands and has already performed in Europe, Asia, and Canada.
Alexandra Romes has been teaching vocals for 26 years. She has sung in many groups, including the Cologne Big Band, a funk band, and various jazz and cover bands.
Alexandra conducts small choirs and has toured throughout Europe.
The DUO DaAl Bass & Voice began with jazz pieces and has steadily expanded its repertoire. Favorite songs from their lives have been rearranged and refined with warm bass tones and vocals.
The “Frei Töne” concert series at the St. Marien Cellitinnen Hospital is organized in cooperation with the Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now Köln e.V. association.
The event is free of charge. Donations to benefit the support associationare appreciated.
