On the occasion of the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of National Socialism 2025, the Italian Cultural Institute will be showing the film "L'ultima volta che siamo stati bambini", the directorial debut of Claudio Bisio based on the novel of the same name by Fabio Bartolomei, on Wednesday, January 29 at 7 pm in its theater hall.

Rome in the summer of 1943: four children play at war while the real war is going on around them. They are Italo, the son of the influential Gauleiter, Cosimo, whose father is starving and living in exile, Vanda, an orphan who believes in God, and Riccardo, the offspring of a wealthy Jewish family. Despite their great differences, "the greatest friendship in the world" develops between them almost unnoticed, creating a bond that withstands all the upheavals of these blood-soaked events in Europe.
