MAFFAY + OERDING "NASHVILLE"

“Nashville” is the result of a deep connection between two artists that has grown over the years. Maffay and Oerding have been friends for many years—two kindred spirits bound by mutual appreciation, musical respect, and a personal closeness that goes far beyond their individual joint performances. Their first interactions took place in connection with Peter Maffay’s MTV Unplugged project, and later the two met time and again both on and off stage. Among their best-known collaborations is the duet “Wenn wir uns wiedersehen”; Oerding also accompanied Maffay on his major farewell tour in 2024 and reinterpreted the classic “Eiszeit” for his final album.

The result is eleven songs—a complete duet album on which both artists perform together on every single track. You can tell from the songs that this wasn’t produced on a drawing board—but rather that two artists came together who listen to one another and have long since achieved everything there is to achieve in German music.
