MAJESTY OF NIGHT TOUR 2024: ÄERA, NAXEN und BOÖTES VOID

ÄERA is a black metal band whose influences include the classic black metal of the 90s as well as more modern pioneers of the post-, ambient and atmospheric black metal landscape. Their songs are lengthy, emotional, dramatic, dynamic and energetic. Their signature characteristics include powerful yet playful riffing, epic melodies, mid-tempo drumming, atmospheric clean passages, twists and turns, progressive nuances and sophisticated lyrics.

The band's name comes from an old German dialect. The word AER means earth. The lyrics are often based on texts and poems by various poets and philosophers such as Jean-Jacques Rousseau or Christian Morgenstern. In terms of content, the band deals with man's alienation from nature, the question of original existence, cosmic fascinations, social and religious criticism and the romance of nature.

The band was founded in 2018 by Simon & Milan. The original lineup was Simon Wiedenhöft, Milan Sikorski, Sven Strefel and Sven Epping. In 2019 ÄERA signed a deal with Crawling Chaos Records from Cologne. In December, the label released ÄERA's first full-length album called "Schein". The EP "Schattenfall" was released in 2020, also via Crawling Chaos Records. The second LP "Phantast" will be released in October 2024 via Vendetta Records. NAXEN is a German black metal band founded in 2018 by LN (vocals/guitars) with SP (bass) and FH (drums) as the core line-up.

Their sound can be described as their own path between traditional cold Scandinavian Black Metal, dark Eastern European melodies and the atmospheric aspects of USBM, an aggressive interpretation of Depressive Black Metal reflecting darkness and despair.

NAXEN reflect the weakness of humanity and the sadness of existence in their lyrics, aesthetics and songs. After releasing the highly acclaimed EP "To Abide in Ancient Abysses" on Vendetta Records, they soon began to solidify their reputation as a thriving force to be reckoned with live. Their debut album "Towards The Tombs of Time'" followed in 2020, exceeding expectations and receiving rave reviews. In 2020 and 2021, they released "Of Fainting Flesh In Futile Flesh", a live session EP and "The Perilous Path Of Pain", which continued their preaching of darkness, death and despair. They have already shared the stage with acts such as "Spectral Wound" (CAN), "Afsky" (DK), "Gaerea" (PT), "White Ward" (UKR), "Turia" (NL), "Antlers" (DE) and "Sun Worship" (DE).
