Martin Suter will present his latest novel "Melody" on tour in Germany and Switzerland in March 2024, after the planned readings in May 2023 had to be postponed for family reasons. Tickets for the readings with moderation are available at the known advance booking offices and already purchased tickets remain valid.

Since his first novel "Small World", which was published by his house publisher Diogenes in 1997, the Swiss author Martin Suter has regularly been on the bestseller lists and thrilled a huge fan base with his works. The new novel "Melody" also entered the "Spiegel" bestseller list at No. 1 one week after publication and has now remained there in the top positions for over 20 weeks.

"Melody" is the story of a man who loses his great love and spends a lifetime searching for her. Former national councilor Dr. Stotz lives in a villa on the Zürichberg, surrounded by portraits of a young woman. Melody was once his fiancée, but shortly before their wedding - over 40 years ago - she disappeared. To this day, Dr.Stotz can't get over it. Martin Suter gets to the bottom of secrets and abysses behind Zurich facades, the interplay of appearance and reality.

Martin Suter presents "Melody" live on the big stages in spring 2024 with moderated conversation. The tour starts on March 17, 2024 at the Gürzenich in Cologne - followed by six more readings in Germany and Switzerland. Andrea Burtz in Cologne, Bernadette Schoog in Stuttgart, Judith Heitkamp in Munich, Bettina Rust in Berlin and Hamburg, and Nora Zukker in Zurich and Bern will be the hosts.
